Solar Thermal Hot Water

Solar Heating

Solar Thermal Hot Water SystemSolar panels are powered by sunlight. It does not have to be direct sunshine - there is sufficient solar energy in a cloudy day for the solar panels to collect enough thermal energy to heat your hot water.

When sunlight strikes the solar panel the light is absorbed into the panel and the solar heating system converts that thermal energy into heat. This heats up the heat transfer fluid in the copper heat transfer pipe. When the temperature in the solar panel is higher than the temperature in your hot water cylinder a digital controller in the heating system activates the pump. The heat transfer fluid in the heat pipe pumps heat into your cylinder that heats up the water. When you have sufficient hot water in the cylinder the pump stops - your own solar powered water heater.

We estimate that Solar Collectors will harness enough solar power to produce around 70% of your hot water requirements over a year. Naturally, they will produce more thermal energy in summer when the days are long and less in winter - the 70% is an approximate overall figure based on average hot water usage.

Call Fusion today to see how a solar panel installation can benefit your home or business, and how harnessing solar power will effectively save you money on power and energy bills. It's important to remember in this age where such emphasis is being placed on identifying and using alternative energy sources that not only are you benefiting the environment, but you too will be better off economically in the long term as your traditional energy bills decrease.

All Fusion installation teams are directly employed and trained and registered through the Action Renewables Installer Academy.

Fusion procurement procedure ensures that only the highest quality of product is installed, the product is supported locally to ensure that a total lifetime service is available to the customer.

The solar panels are manufactured to the highest specification using high grade aluminium from one of the world's leading aluminium manufacturers whose product is used in the production of top quality high performance car engines.

These solar panels are particularly suitable for integrated roof installations where the panel would become an integral part of the building. These thermal energy panels have a life expectancy of at least twenty years and require little or no maintenance. Households, in Ireland and elsewhere in the world, on average spend between 27% to 35% of their total energy cost on heating water. Solar panels, which act as a supplement to existing water heating arrangements, will significantly reduce bills and at the same time substantially reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
